Description
English: Woodseaves Cutting near Cheswardine, Shropshire. The canal at Woodseaves was cut through the sandstone without machines, and is a shallow, slow section of the canal, always prone to blockage due to landslips or fallen trees. A 2mph limit is imposed on boats, but it is difficult to exceed this by much anyway. In some places two boats cannot pass each other because the cut is so narrow. There are two high bridges, built of local stone; this is bridge No 57.
