English: Presumed portrait of Marie Anne de Bourbon (1666-1739), daughter of Louis XIV of France and Louise de La Vallière (1644-1710)
Français : Portrait présumé de Mademoiselle de Blois (1666-1739), Marie-Anne de Bourbon vers l’âge de 8 ans,, fille de Louis XIV et de Louise de la Vallière, arbore un port altier. Le regard empreint d’une certaine mélancolie, son caractère semble déjà affirmé.

Elle est vêtue « à la romaine » dans une chemise de soie aux manches nouées par un ruban, les épaules couvertes par une étoffe brodée de fils d’or retenue par une fibule sertie de pierre. Les perles montées en ras de cou ou en ruban dans les cheveux, d’autres serties sur le diadème ainsi que l’énorme perle-poire en pendant d’oreille rappellent le statut et la fortune de la fillette.

Comme pour rappeler sa lignée royale, elle lève délicatement la main sur un jeté de fleurs de lys.
