| Description |
English: Yarwell Junction Station. The new station at Yarwell Junction, the terminus of the Nene Valley Railway, was opened during Easter 2007. Yarwell was formerly a junction between the lines to Northampton > 1560918 and to Market Harborough > 1560934 - both dismantled. The track was aligned in April 2006 which allowed for the construction of a platform at Yarwell Junction on a site which never had a station.
The NVR runs for seven and a half miles between Yarwell Junction and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. The first railway to arrive in Peterborough came from Blisworth, via Northampton, Thrapston, Oundle and Wansford. The Nene Valley railway is the eastern section of this line. |
