English: Youghal railway station (site), County Cork Opened in 1860 by the Cork & Youghal Railway, later part of the Great Southern & Western Railway, this station closed to regular passenger traffic in 1963, and completely in 1982. View east across the platform towards the site of the turntable and buffers. The line from Cork to Midleton was reopened in 2009 but there seems little prospect of it being extended further east. |
