editDescriptionYoung Woman radiating Beauty and Gentility.jpg |
English: Euphemia (Moxley) Henderson was born in Sandwich, Ontario, Canada in 1894. She was posing for her portrait to announce her engagement on her 21 birthday . She and her intended husband, Roland Henderson, met when Euphemia, a Concert Pianist, played a musical accompaniment for a handsome, young bass singer who captured her attention. They married and raised 10 children including a Lawyer, a City Planner and the co-owner of an Electrical contracting business. The Moxley Henderson families were well healed members of a thriving African Canadian community, many of whom were descendants of former slaves. |
