Title
Z. L. White Company building
Description
A view of the former Z. L. White Company building (and former J.C. Penney Department Store), 106 North High Street, before its 2001 renovation. The 9-story structure was built in 1914 in the Chicago Commercial style. In the 1970s, the facade was covered with dry-vit, a stucco-like material. The 2001 renovation revealed the original marble and granite facade and glass awning. See also: "Work Restores Architectural Glory" in the Columbus Dispatch, April 29, 2001, page 1B.
