English: Zaid Safdar Sandhu زید صفدر سندھو (born ,21 May 1992), is a rising star in the Pakistani film industry, recognized for his exceptional talent as a cinematographer on projects like "Gunnah" and "Insp Sabiha". Born into a Muslim family in Gujrat, Pakistan, Zaid spent the formative years of his life in the city, where his father practiced as a doctor.

Embarking on his academic journey, Zaid commenced his studies in Arts at the University of Gujrat in 2010. It was during this period that his fascination with phone photography sparked his interest in cinematography. Graduating in 2014 with distinction from the University of Gujrat in Multimedia Arts, Zaid earned acclaim for his final thesis, along with an impressive collection of 15 awards for his thesis film, "Chan Mere Makhna". Notably, "Chan Mere Makhna" received international recognition, being selected for screening among Asia's top 75 films at IFFSA Canada and among the world's top 40 films at Karawood Films Karachi, catapulting Zaid to fame within a remarkably short time.

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Zaid furthered his education at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan, where he attained his Master's degree. Once again, his thesis film, "Agent 302", garnered distinction, accumulating eight awards thus far. In addition to his academic achievements, Zaid has made significant contributions to various facets of filmmaking, including directing TV commercials, web series, documentaries, and music videos for numerous brands. Remarkably, Zaid is the youngest film director in his student age with the most awards to his name.

Currently, Zaid operates as a freelance cinematographer, showcasing his expertise across diverse projects in Dubai, Oman, and Pakistan, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic force within the industry.
