British India Army Royal Victoria Medal (RVM) Zaman Sardar Bahadur Khan was born in the village of Matore Tehsil Kahuta, which is located in what is now District Rawalpindi, Pakistan. he joined the British India Army in 29 May 1872 and served until 15 April 1906, a period of 34 years. While he joined the British Army as soldier, due to his faithful service and bravery, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and recommended for OBI (Ist Class 1902), OBI (2nd Class 1901). In 1906, he received the Royal Victoria Medal (RVM) from the Viceroy Of India. See "Indian Army List - Jan 1920" |
