It's quite improbable that John Steeple Davis (1884-1961) painted this in 1885.--Lamassus (talk) 17:39, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Actually it seems there were two of the same name. Father and son? Who has information? Sicne the younger one has lots of illustrations it would be nice to have an article on Wikipedia.--Lamassus (talk) 17:42, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
