Duty to rescue laws in United States

This map indicates that some US states have Wikipedia:Duty to rescue laws. However, that article doesn't list any examples of such, and Wikipedia:Good Samaritan law only lists that the US has Good Samaritan laws and does not mention any instances of duty to rescue laws.

Is there a reason those states are marked as having duty to rescue laws, or is it a mistake?

I do see least one news article that says California, one of the indicated states, has a duty to report law (Wikipedia:Mandated reporter), which is a different concept, but perhaps that was a source of confusion. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 09:18, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and edited the map to recolor all of the US to green, indicating Good Samaritan laws but not duty to rescue laws. I also split California and Mexico into separate objects, as they were previously one. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 18:13, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
