The yellow image should not have been uploaded over the existing image as they are two different designs and should exist as two separate images. Ideally the best solution would be to revert the yellow upload and reload it under a new name, as that would ensure that the original image keeps its history (and previous version). However, as the image is so widely used across many language versions of Wikipedia on hundreds of pages, it would be best to leave the yellow image under the current name to avoid disruption.
