Why include non-African portions of the world map?

Why is the near east and portions of Southern Europe included in this map? Scu ba (talk) 05:01, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Mauritania should be included as a former member as a different shade of green (yellow-green?), also Morocco should probably be included in some capacity since they intend to join, the process has just stalled due to internal issues in ECOWAS. Scu ba (talk) 05:04, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso withdrew
