About the lines

edit

I think the lines depicting the tropics and both polar circles should be curves. Hope somebody with the skills fix them. Regards. --Rjelves (talk) 21:07, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree. --Alex1011 (talk) 12:14, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

This is a correct graph: File:AxialTiltObliquity.png --Alex1011 (talk) 12:16, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

The equinox is wrong in my view. This is a correct graph: File:AxialTiltObliquity.png — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex1011 (talk • contribs) 2016-10-01T14:03:28‎ (UTC)

If one takes the plane of the equator as horizontal, as in the graph, the graph is technically correct. In one takes, as one would expect, the ecliptic as horizontal plane of reference, then equator etc. should be curves. --Alex1011 (talk) 09:47, 20 October 2016 (UTC)--Alex1011 (talk) 15:45, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

The graph has as referential horizontal plane the earth equator and not the ecliptic. This graph File:Earth-lighting-summer-solstice EN.png has as horizontal plane the ecliptic, as has this one File:Earth-lighting-winter-solstice EN.png. This is somewhat confusing. --Alex1011 (talk) 09:43, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
