Gebrüder Metz, Tübingen There are many references on the web (in German) to this art publishing company, which became a major producer of postcards. It lasted from 1828 to 1988. Many of their cards are based on detailed photographic records of places and buildings. 270,000 glass negatives still exist. Cards usually (evidently not always) name the company.
