A date confusion here. The escutcheon is of the Dalrymple baronets of Bargeny, 1697 or 1698, not of the Dalrymple baronets of Cranstoun (1698). The former became the Hamilton-Dalrymple baronets. The latter have blazon as in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of this escutcheon. Charles Matthews (talk) 12:19, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
