The catenary is obviously for three-phase. There were only two standard gauge three-phase electrifications in Switzerland, Simplon tunnel Brig - Iselle, later extended to Brig - Sion, and Burgdorf - Thun. Catenary of Burgdorf - Thun was very different from what we see on the photo. But also looking at the few photos available from Brig, there is nowhere a catenary of such type. But I can find this type of catenary in Italy., which had a large three-phase electrification. The picture is probably from Italy. -- Gürbetaler (talk) 21:41, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The photo was now categoized Salbertrand and this seems to be correct. The building on the right still exists and can be seen in Google streetview. Openstreetmap building #145664509.--Gürbetaler (talk) 12:10, 26 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
