This image has been "improved" (so far as I am able) from a scanned print off a slightly blurry original colour negative; I have posted it for its historic interest rather than its technical excellence (which is poor, but better than nothing). Portions of the same performance are presented on 2 commercial VHS video releases, which are of course not available under an open licence, namely "Fairport Convention: A Peculier Old Weekend", Videotech VTV003 (Video, UK, 1982) and "Fairport Convention: Forever Young", Musikfolk MFV04 (Video, UK, 1996). At time of writing (December 2018) a copy of "A Peculier Old Weekend" can be watched on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwcjfZbCz-0 . Today (8 Mar 2024) replaced by a fresh scan off the original colour negative, showing maximum available quality (possibly slight improvement but not much). Tony 1212 (talk) 03:00, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

Image quality

This is from a poor quality negative, but it is the best that I have. I note that in the image page, there are the notes: "It has been requested to crop a part of this image, so that the cropped part can serve as its own image for Linda Thompson" and "It has been requested to crop a part of this image, so that the cropped part can serve as its own image for Trevor Lucas"

However the resolution of this file would not be sufficient to support crops of that degree (results would be too blurred unfortunately).
