Color-profile edit-war edit

OK, I’ve uploaded a new version of the image, removing the sRGB color profile that was present in the original version from Google. Now the image will look the same for all people, and not purpleish. Please don’t be rude assuming that some of us are colorblind (Wkerry, that was for you :P) the fact is that Mac and Linux users see this kind of images different because these are well-done operating systems :P; this is the reason why web-optimized images do not have color profiles. I guess the original image file extracted from Google was intended for print media, so it needs a color profile. But the web doesn’t, and anyone who wants the original file, visit the Google press site. Consider this before reverting my upload.

Ah, and a side-effect is that the file is smaller now. —Fitoschido [shouttrack] @ 10 March, 2012; 05:05

Thank you, that's the problem I was having with the image, the blues appearing as purples, and yet this image and previous ones displayed it perfectly. --AxG (talk) 21:08, 22 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
