Misrepresentation

This image purports to show the situation during World War II around the Mediterranean, but misrepresents it considerably.
If the orange line is supposed to represent the extent of Italian territory before she commenced hostilities in June 1940, it includes Corsica, Tunisia and Dalmatian coast (which weren't under Italian control then), while it doesn't cover the whole of Libya (which was). If the green line is supposed to represent the extent of Italian control, it covers both the northern coast of Egypt (and the territory to the south as well, which never was occupied), which was under Axis (both German and Italian) control only from July to October 1942, and at the same time the South of France, Corsica and Tunisia which only came under Italian control in November 1942, when Libya had been lost and the Allies (Britain, the USA and France) controlled Algeria and Morocco. So it looks like it's an exercise in fascist wishful thinking, rather than having any historical value. Xyl 54 (talk) 21:14, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Xyl54 is wrong! This map show the project of Greater Italy and NOT the "situation during World War II around the Mediterranean".
