Indonesia

edit

Can someone double check the correctness of Indonesia on the map? The Wikipedia articles on this subject all state that despite being LHT in roadways, are RHT in railways due to Dutch influence. The other map seems to reflect this as well, as well as most pictures in these categories for recent years (but not all). Problem is, I can't really find an external source for how distributed LHT and RHT are for Indonesia's rails, but judging by the pictures that I see, it looks to be more RHT for rail traffic. Could someone with more knowledge on this correct the map accordingly? T.c.w7468 (talk) 17:10, 15 December 2021 (UTC) typo fix at 18:48, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'm Indonesian and I can confirm that the image is indeed wrong. All railway traffic in Indonesia is RHT by law, with exceptions for emergency/unusual situations. Cab ride example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNOG_IKc9FM. Even the latest MRT Jakarta and LRT Palembang is also RHT, though most of commuter electric trains have LHT driver seat configuration due to being a second-hand Japanese import. I don't know about the HSR though, since its construction haven't finished yet, but chances are high it will be RHT too. Also road traffic in Indonesia is strictly LHT except for a very small section of unusual U-turns. 2404:8000:1005:2813:79AD:180:33F:7BB3 05:47, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Regarding Singapore

edit

Singapore was shown here to have no rail traffic, I want to highlight here that Singapore does have a rail metro (i.e. the MRT) which drives on the left. SBS9834C (talk) 07:50, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone have an .svg version of this file? It's really hard to edit in this form. Gymate (talk) 15:28, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
