Leo1pard, I have never been to that Mountain. The photos are from Flickr and they have the same author. Both photos are from Haraz according to the author. I clicked on the coordinates and opened them in Google maps. I then asked for directions and I chose Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb as the starting point, this is the results I got: using the road, it is 115 kilometers far from Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb, and its 40-42 kilometers far away in straight line distance. It takes 2 hours using a car to go to that location from Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb. It is unlikely that these two photos are from Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb unless Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb location is wrong in Google maps or Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb is a large region that includes that location.--SharabSalam (talk) 08:21, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

SharabSalam As mentioned on the main page, this mountain is of the Haraz Mountains, which in turn are a subrange of the Sarawat, and try these 3D views on Google Maps (using the full URLs, otherwise they can lead you to far away places, strangely):

1) This (https://www.google.com/maps/place/15°21'57.5"N+43°38'25.6"E/@15.4164153,43.4506697,6088a,35y,99.5h,76.79t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d15.365969!4d43.640442?hl=en) gives a distance of 37.25 km (23.15 miles),

2) And if you look closer here (https://www.google.com/maps/place/15°21'57.5"N+43°38'25.6"E/@15.3681108,43.6331486,345a,35y,99.5h,78.15t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d15.365969!4d43.640442?hl=en), then you may get a similar view as in this photo, both due to the appearance of the mountain, and the terraced fields between the camera's exact location and the mountain. Also, JANS is of a peculiar design. From the above locations in Al-Mahwit Governorate, it will look like a mountain, due to its great height, but from this point in Sanaa (https://www.google.com/maps/place/15°18'21.1"N+44°13'53.5"E/@15.3069255,44.3136722,2473a,35y,270h,77.26t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d15.305866!4d44.231526?hl=en), it looks less like a mountain, because Sanaa itself is of high elevation, not to mention that there is a mountain between the location of this photo and Jabal An-Nabi Shu'aib. Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb is behind the mountain in the background, facing west of southern Sanaa

• I will do some research about this and see. However, I don't think these two photos are of the same mountain:

The distance from Sana'a to Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb is half the distance from where the first photo was taken to Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb. Meanwhile, the size of the mountain is very similar, it even looks as if the mountain is bigger in the first photo. It should be relatively small in the first photo comparing to the second photo from Sana'a. I will ask my friends who are from Sana'a if they know these locations.--SharabSalam (talk) 10:41, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Not JANS, the mountain between JANS and Sanaa

• Leo1pard, I did some research, I can now tell for sure that the image shows Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ib, I draw a path that is relative to the altitude of the ground from where the photographer was standing to Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ib and the path seems to pass the terraced fields.
