editI assume the current diagram is following the convention to represent each state as (n, l, m_l)
.
As the Quantum Number article explains, m_l must range from -l to +l. This means that the diagram is missing roughly half of the states.
Since the diagram already doesn't show states where n=1, maybe the simplest solution is to add a comment in the diagram that says that it shows some selected solutions (instead of implying that it shows all solutions up to n=4)
