This photo was not taken during the 1978 British Grand Prix but in Practice as it is of Chassis M26 [4-2] which was McLaren's attempt at an interim Ground Effect car as evidenced by the full length sidepods compared with the side mounted radiators of a "standard" M26. Hunt reverted to a standard M26 - Chassis M26 [3] for the Race.
