After an extended discussion at File talk:Map.rep.arg.1883.jpg, and with what appears to be the consensus of several editors involved with the past issues regarding this topic here and on other wikis, I've applied indefinite full-protection to these four files. For those unaware of the issue, this particular map has been at the heart of a political conflict that has gone on for decades now, and the general subject has been the center of much drama (including an enwiki ArbCom case). Because of the context, these particular images are unfortunately quite likely to be tarmpered with, if nothing else than by slanting the image descriptions to match a particular POV. We seem to have worked out something everyone can live with 'here', for now, and 'drive-by' edits making changes to the descriptions without discussion would be highly counterproductive, unfortunately.
