I don't think, that this painting depicts the Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia. The owner, The State Hermitage Museum, says nothing regarding Maria Nikolaevna of Russia, only Portrait of a Girl. There is also no physical resemblance to the Grand Duchess. --Ras67 (talk) 16:11, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
- The Hermitage seems to have changed its information since 2015: now it says "Portrait of V.A. Bibikova". Thus there seems to be even less reason to believe that this is a portrait the grand duchess Maria. /FredrikT (talk) 20:29, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
