Possible problems

If it's made clear that this is a map of theoretical claims, then it could be OK, but if it's intended to be a map of actual French North America, then it could be problematic, since it appears to include areas where French official personnel never even visited, and certainly large areas which were not under any effective French governmental control and administration... I have reinstated the warning as the image pop up again in an article - old tlaks can be seen at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Nouvellefrance-V2.jpg and Discussion:Nouvelle-France and Talk:New France. No attempt at fixing the image as was stated. -- Moxy (talk) 19:44, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

This is a map of New France. According to the Canadian Museum of History, the image is not completely accurate but the Southern part is decent and the Northern part adds a bunch of land in the far north 22jcampb (talk) 15:13, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
