"Tin Land"?
editDoes anyone know why Cyprus is labelled as "Tin Land"? To my knowledge, Cyprus was the overwhelmingly greatest source of copper during the bronze age, not tin, though copper was also found in varying quantities all around Anatolia. Rather, the only large Bronze Age sources of tin were Cornwall in Britain and modern Afghanistan. Cyprus had a reputation for being absolutely swimming in copper, which is the main component of bronze, but I'm pretty positive that there was absolutely no tin whatsoever on the island.
