List of theatres shown on the map with dates
editThe map appears to show Paris as it existed sometime between 12 November 1825 (when the Théâtre-Italien moved back into the Salle Favart after performing in the Salle Louvois from 1819; see "Paris", Table 1, in New Grove Opera) and 16 March 1826 (when the Cirque Franconi on the rue du Faubourg du Temple was destroyed by fire). The dates which are particularly important for the dating of the map are shown in bold. Theatres are listed starting on the Left Bank with the Odéon, then the Right Bank, starting with the Vaudeville on the rue de Chartres, and moving north and east.

- Théâtre Français at the Palais-Royal: 31 May 1799 to the present
- Théâtre Feydeau on the rue Feydeau: reoccupied by the Opéra-Comique from 2 September 1805 until 12 April 1829, after which the theatre was demolished
- Théâtre-Italien: reoccupied the Salle Favart on 12 November 1825, performing there until 14 January 1838, when the theatre was destroyed by fire

- Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin: opened 27 October 1781; closed by Napoleon's 1807 decree; reopened on 26 December 1814
- Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique on the boulevard du Temple: 9 July 1769 – 13 July 1827 (destroyed by fire)
- Théâtre de la Gaîté (boulevard du Temple): 1762 – 1862
- Théâtre des Funambules on the boulevard du Temple: 1813–1862
