I think that this file is a reverse view or back to front. The medal ribbon should be on his left etc.
Also the date description perhaps should be dated to 1908 when he was promoted Lt Col and commanded the 19th Hussars. The cap badge and collar badges look like the 19th Hussars. Also this photo makes him look very young for 1930.
