The tag itself is from 1951. The photograph was submitted by Kibbutz Ein Hashofet with confirmation that they hold the copyrights for the photograph and release it under CC. They didn't provide the photographer's name or the date in which the photograph was taken. The tag itself seem to fall under the Israeli FOP rule. It is reasonable to think that the photograph is recent and taken by one of the archive's workers. Drork (talk) 04:30, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I do not see any panorama. I suspect that Ein Hashofet just made some photos of stuff in its archives. They submitted this Italian postcard, which they cannot license the way they do. And they submitted this photo of artwork from another kibbutz. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 08:41, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Assume good faith. They submitted a lot of valuable "kosher" materials. They had no reason to believe that an Italian postcard sent to the kibbutz 75 years ago is till copyright protected (and by the way, it is probably not, you checked yourself and found that the author is anonymous). Now, the local law permits making derivative works of artistic works permanently displayed in public. The authorized interpretation of "permanently displayed" is that the author had no intention to recollect her/his work from the public place and display it elsewhere. This small symbol was indeed displayed in public as part of the festival (in 1951), and the author (whoever s/he was) made this design especially for the festival. Therefore it is very unlikely to believe that FOP doesn't cover this work of art. The archive kept one of these tags that bear the symbol and asked one of its workers to photograph it. They were kind enough to release the photograph under CC. BTW, Kibbutz Ein Hashofet and Kibbut Daliah are adjacent, and they have close relations. All kibbutzim are part of one union, so they do coordinate their policies, and in this case, the cooperation between the two kibbutzim is very strong due to the geographical proximity.
