This picture is not actualy a centre pivot but actually a lateral irrigator, a centre pivot is fixed at one with irrigator moving in a rotional direction whereas and lateral irrigator as this moves in a straight direction across the paddock either following a channel and pumping water water as it moves or draging a large flexible hose. looking carefully at the picture this is a lateral that follows a channel.
