New identification of the person depicted on this painting

It seems that the identification of this person as Denis Diderot on this painting has recently been rejected: http://blogs.artinfo.com/artintheair/2012/11/20/famous-fragonard-portrait-of-diderot-revealed-to-be-someone-else-entirely/ .
