Scale Problem

The scale on this map is way off. Lake Victoria has a maximum width of about 160 miles, and the scale on this map makes it look like it's 300-400 miles wide. I don't know how to edit images like this, but someone who does should either correct the scale, or at least remove the really misleading one that's on there now.
