This is actually a 1953 Champion, not a Commander - look closely at the writing in the grille.

Further, hood trim with stylized "S" indicates a 6-cylinder model; V-8s have an "8" instead. This trim was replaced mid-year.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 19:30, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
