Strictly speaking, this is not a time zone map, but a UTC offset map. This map shows when and where UTC-05 is observed.

• Some South American countries are 5 hours behind Greenwich time all year round
• The orange parts of North America (i.e., Central Time Zone) used UTC-05 during daylight saving time (warm months)
