That photo is actually from the starting point in Albany, NY. The building on the left (vertical bars) is Corning tower, and the structure (horizontal bars, more visible in the un-cropped version) on the right under the omni hotel banner is the parking garage for omni hotel (now Hilton). An additional piece of evidence is the 25 meter distance marker in the bottom right, incongruous with the 1,347 km finish line, but perfectly consistent near the start.
