1890 date clearly wrong?

edit

I doubt this photograph dates from 1890 as it seems to show the current cathedral, but with temporary belltowers. The French Wikipedia informs me that the cathedral was built 1893-1897 (confirmed by structurae) but that in 1897 it opened with temporary wooden belltowers. This does not exactly solve the question of when the photograph was taken, but 1897 or the years shortly after seem likely. The current cathedral certainly did not exist in 1890, although it was apparently preceded by a pro-cathedral. Does anybody else have a better idea when the photo is likely to have been taken? Is there a direct link to the source file online so it is possible to verify if 1890 is the claimed date of the postcard? TheGrappler (talk) 22:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now have some information from uploader: the "1890" date refers only to the decade so this must be in the late 1890s. TheGrappler (talk) 18:55, 4 June 2009 (UTC) 15:06, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
