Um... doesn't that read "Weekaypda - The Fray Nsycloapda"? I would have expected "𐐎𐐮𐐿𐐨𐐹𐐨𐐼𐐮𐐰 - 𐐜 𐐙𐑉𐐨 𐐇𐑌𐑅𐐴𐐿𐑊𐐬𐐹𐐨𐐼𐐮𐐰". -- pne (talk) 10:03, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it seems to spell out /wi:keɪpdæ ðɛ frɛ nsaɪkloʊpdæ/, I tried to spell it and came up with 𐐎𐐮𐐿𐐮𐐹𐐨𐐼𐐮𐐰 𐐜 𐐙𐑉𐐨 𐐇𐑌𐑅𐐴𐐿𐑊𐐲𐐹𐐨𐐼𐐮𐐰 Almost the same as you except I've used short i /ɪ/ in the second vowel of wiki and short o /ʌ/ instead of ow /oʊ/ in encyclopedia. I'll upload an svg with the corrected spelling later today (if I remember)... --Qvasi (talk) 10:07, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
I just noticed this myself (and noticed that it hasn't been fixed). I suspect the author read that single Deseret letters may be used as syllables, and applied this principle mid-word ("pee" and "dee"); and also put "long E" in "wik-EE", mistaking it for the associated English sound (as in "free"), not the phonetic sound (as in "fray"). I'm working on a replacement now using the free MPH 2B Damase font. -- Perey (talk) 07:52, 12 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Done. Unfortunately Inkscape seems to have a problem with the MPH 2B Damase font (or with its name)--it keeps changing the name in the font bar to "MPH" and using some other font entirely (Code2001, I think). So the PNG I've uploaded is done as a screenshot from Firefox (hence the background now being white), and I'm holding off on uploading the vector version for now. -- Perey (talk) 08:30, 12 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi guys. The new version is still wrong, and the font is much uglier to boot. Deseret does not have a ə (schwa)! I have replaced it with a new version that I believe to be correct, and will momentarily also upload a vector. I used Wiktionary to find the IPA pronunciation of each word, and then carefully chose the correct Deseret characters. Psiĥedelisto (talk) 09:09, 6 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Psiĥedelisto: : I'm not sure what you mean by "Deseret does not have a ə". Nobody here said it did. Do you mean the glyph in the previous version that looked like ə? That was the "long-i" (ee as in free) letter, the same as you have used. The only other spelling differences between versions were different choices of vowels (e.g. "encycluh" replacing "encyclow"), which even the w:Deseret article says are prone to varying between speakers/dialects, so it's not really accurate to say that only you "chose the correct" characters. On the other hand, you're right that your font looks better—which font is it? -- Perey (talk) 08:19, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
