Zaccaria Marques was born in Muriae, Minas Gerais - Brasil. He started his musical studies at the early age of 10 years old playing the trombone for eight years. Later he moved to Rio de Janeiro - Brasil where he studied singing, theory and harmony as well as french, german, italian and spanish. Zaccaria Marques made his debut at the Rio de Janeiro's Municipal Theater with Mario del Monaco and Boris Cristoff in 1956 becoming the biggest Brazilian tenor of all times.
