Flags of municipalities of Brazil

Wikimedia list article

The flags of municipalities of Brazil are influenced or inspired usually by the national flag of Brazil or other designs, such as that of the Nordic Cross, used by Nordic countries, the triband, found in most flags, or simply the coat of arms of the municipality on a single coloured background. Most flags use colours featured on the Brazilian flag, which are green, yellow, blue and white, as well as incorporating their coat of arms. Some municipalities have flags inspired by the Brazilian flag, such as that of Itaubal, Plácido de Castro, Porto Real do Colégio, or Traipu, while some are inspired by their own state flag. Others simply have their coat of arms in a single-coloured field. Certain municipalities contain the Southern Cross or the constellation of Crux, to signify the southern hemisphere. Due to the total number of municipalities, the directory will be on the top.
