The gallery of Hazara people of Persian-speaking people who make up the third largest ethnic group of Afghanistan. The Hazara, also written Hazāra or Azra, live mainly in the central highlands of the country, area known as Hazaristan. Over half a million live in neighboring Pakistan, and a similar number in Iran. Small numbers of Hazaras are also found in Australia, the UK, Canada and Turkey.
