English: Nestor Roqueplan (16 September 1805 – 24 April 1870), was a French journalist and theatre director at the Théâtre du Panthéon, the Théâtre des Nouveautés, the Théâtre des Variétés (1841–47), the Paris Opera (co-director with Henri Duponchel 1847–49; sole director, 1849–1854), and the Opéra-Comique (1857–1860). He was born near Montréal, Aude, died in Paris, annd was the younger brother of the painter Camille Roqueplan (Tamvaco 2000, pp. 1058–1059; Huebner 1992 [dates of directorships])
