Routemaster 50 logo

English: To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Routemaster bus, some of them received a special logo to mark the event. Similar in appearance to that used on the London Transport 50th anniversary buses, the logo comprises a white circle containing a gold "50" symbol (where the top of the 5 crossed the middle of the 0, with the word "Routemaster" superimposed in it), plus the years 1954 & 2004 written either side of the '50'. Some examples retained it beyond 2004 into preservation, either deliberately or simply by virtue of having been withdrawn from service while still wearing it (2004 being the penultimate year of ordinary Routemaster operation on London routes).
