English: After rejecting the Operation Sunrise (Crossword), the Soviets accept the local surrender in Italy beacaue unconditioned and extended to all the troops of the South-West theatre (Army Group C and the Italian Repubblican military or paramilitary forces). By designating the Caserta Surrender representative (Kislenko) they also premise the Reims SHAEF representative (Susloparoff) for an imminent capitulation in France.

THIS MESSAGE: MX-24054. 25 April 1945. Reference FAN 528, April 21, and our MX-24031, April 24. Red General Staff had designatet General SUSLOPAROFF as their representative at SHAEF an General KISLENKO at SACMED Headquarters. These Officers will represent Red General Staff at possible negotiations for capitulation of large bodies of German troops. This information repeated due to inadvertend omis- sion of ALEXANDER in address of our MX-24050.
