Shields Ferry
ferry across the River Tyne in north east England
English: The Shields Ferry is a public transport ferry service for foot passengers, linking North Shields and South Shields, the two towns (metropolitan boroughs) on either side of the mouth of the River Tyne, North East England. As it links two boroughs of Tyne and Wear, the service is administered by the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive (Nexus), with common ticketing and marketing with the Nexus operated Tyne and Wear Metro.
