Statue of Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor, by Antonio Corradini

Français : En 1719, Charles VI du Saint-Empire ordonna à l'architecte J.B Fischer von Erlach d'entamer la construction d'une bibliothèque monumentale, qui fut achevée en 1730. La statue en marbre de cet Empereur fondateur se trouve à la place d'honneur, au centre de la salle d'apparat de la bibliothèque, la "Prunksaal".

English: In 1719, Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor, commissioned architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach to build a monumental library, which was completed in 1730. The marble statue of the founder Emperor is located at the center of the "Prunksaal", the State Hall of the library.
