Deutsch: Der Marktplatz ist einer der zentralen Plätze von Stuttgart. Er ist nach den schweren Zerstörungen im 2. Weltkrieg von schlichter Nachkriegsarchitektur geprägt, allen voran dem Rathaus - unter dessen moderner Fassade sich noch Überreste des prächtigen Vorgängers befinden.
English: The market place of Stuttgart is one the citys' central squares. After the heavy bombing raids in World War 2 it was built up in a modern way, even the city hall - but under its modern and bland facade there are still some parts of the grand old facade of the historical city hall left.
