Template documentation


  • civil = (required unless using military) Civil registration ID.
  • military = (required unless using civil) Military serial or other other aircraft ID.
  • family = (required) aircraft family main category
  • version = (required) specific version category
  • version2 = (optional) if the aircraft was modified or converted to a different version while retaining this registration
  • operator = (optional for civil, required for military) Use for notable operators, if empty, aircraft will be treated as a privately registered aircraft. All military and commercial aircraft should have this used.
  • operatorart = (optional) If operator is used and requires a leading article (the) in prose
  • regcountry = (required if using civil) Country of registration
  • regcountryart = (optional) if regcountry requires a leading article
  • serialby = (optional) serial number issuing organization, if different than operator. If serialby is used, but not operator, this serial will be presumed to have been issued but not operated under.
  • built = (optional) Year built, only use if this is the primary registration.
  • builtby = (optional) Manufacturer of this aircraft.
  • dabreg = (optional) Use if this registration is used by multiple aircraft. This is the registration alone, and categorizes this page under Category:dabreg (aircraft).
  • dabregsort = (optional) Use only if dabreg is used. This sorts this page on the parent registration's category. If not used, the family variable is used instead.
  • primereg = (optional) Use if this is not the primary registration category for this aircraft. Categorizes this under Category:primereg.
