Template used for adding automatically a sort key, Wikidata item and category People by name and Women or Men by name according to the gender of the person

The template automatically sets the following categories: People by name; Women by name and Men by name (either); YYYY births; YYYY deaths (in this latter case also Deceased people by name)

Usage

This template must be substituted using {{subst:PeopleByName}} instead of {{peopleByName}}. Maintenance: Check for un-substituted usage.

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
1	Surname, last name, family name	Sort key by surname	empty	required
2	Name, first name, given name (including middle name[s])	Sort key by name	empty	required
3	Gender attribute	Attribute to determine the categorization of people: possible values= F (women/ female), M (men/ male) or O (other)	empty	required
4	Wikidata item	Wikidata item to insert Authority control data and Wikidata number item	empty	optional
5	Year of birth	Insert the year of birth in the format YYYY	empty	optional
6	Year of death	Insert the year of death in the format YYYY	empty	optional
