Template parameters

1stringstring which needs to be translated. Usually provided in English.emptyrequired
2pagepage name which can be edited to add translationemptyrequired
3language subpagelanguage sub-page nameemptyoptional
silentsilentsilent=yes turns on silent mode, when parent page is tagged but text from parameter {{{1}}} is not shown. Useful if we already have some text in correct language which no longer match the master version (usually in English). Then we can leave the old text and use Please translate template to tag the master template as having labels in need of attention.emptyoptional
demodemodemo=yes prevents adding the problem category Category:Internationalization templates with incorrect translations, e.g. for use in the default of a {{Langswitch}} (so no incorrect translation exists). Warning do not use demo if there are any other uses of Please Translate in the same page, as it may cause categorization to fail.emptyoptional
